Interior design

Interior designer and artist Cristina Pas followed the completion of the restoration of the villa and supervised the entire property styling. Cristina created inspiring spaces blending comfort and character with unparalleled furnishing applications inspired by local materials and traditional objects: often found at flea markets, these original pieces of decor had been brought to new life throughout a refurbishment work completed by local carpenters and artisans.

Predominant elements of the villa are the green color – in honor of the surrounding countryside – and the wood, largely found in the suites and in the common areas. Linen and hemp are the fabrics used on couches and other furnishing applications while loom woven cotton gives a comfortable touch to all bed sheets. Many chandeliers and wall decors were designed by Cristina and created by a master of willow stems and hand woven straw.

Each suite is themed after a traditional object or tool of the region: ceramic plates painted with landscapes of farmhouses; coffee grounders reminding of the Italian tradition to drink espresso; straw hats used by farmers in the vineyards; elementary school notebooks as a memory of the old countryside schools; black and white vintage postcards of Canelli, in honor of the municipality in which the villa is located.

Wedding destination and team building retreat

As a luxury wedding location, the villa is suitable for small parties who wants to celebrate in one of the most trendy and picturesque wedding destinations of Italy: Piemonte (Piedmont in English). This exclusive luxury retreat is surrounded by the core-zone of the 50th UNESCO World Heritage Site of Italy, featuring the hills of Langhe-Roero and Monferrato. UNESCO designated the area as  “…an extraordinary, living testimony to the historical wine-growing tradition, of the wine-making processes, of a unique social and rural setting and of an economic fabric based on wine culture”. In facts, the joint action of natural beauty and hard work of generations of men have enriched these rolling hills with historical villages and towns, castles and watching towers, and several square miles of vineyards which design geometrical patterns on one large natural patchwork.
