Moscato and Barbera wine tastings near Asti
Spend a memorable day over the Monferrato hills, located near Asti. The wine region is a spectacular UNESCO World Heritage site with a unique landscape dotted with quaint villages.
Moscato and Barbera wine tastings take place in two different boutique wineries selected among the best of Piedmont.
The first wine cellar is known for the best wines of Piedmont, including the sweet and aromatic Moscato d’Asti and the precious Loazzolo DOC, obtained by dried late-harvest grapes (“passito”) at an elevation of 500m (1600ft) above the sea level. Enjoy a short walk through the vineyards, then step inside the cellar and finally enjoy a generous wine tasting paired with a selection of salami, cheese, breadsticks and more.
Then, transfer to the second family-run winery where the highlight is Barbera d’Asti wine, a dry, full-bodied wine including the appellation “Superiore” which is aged in oak. Follow the family or the trusted staff members all the way to the tasting room to indulge in a tasting of four more wines.
