Wine trekking in Barolo

This trekking begins from the main square of the town of Barolo where the  precious wine was firstly aged in the XIX century. The town is set out at the bottom of a natural amphitheatre of hills whose vineyards facing south-east are eligible to the cultivation of Nebbiolo grapes used for the production of the Barolo wine. Our itinerary takes you through vineyards and quiet countryside roads off-the-beaten-track, all the way to a different municipality for a total of about 6.5 miles (10 km) roundtrip. Our tour guide provides a complete presentation of the local culture referring to the century-long history and to the elements of the UNESCO World Heritage surrounding landscape. Visit a traditional family-run wine cellar and relax with a tasting of at least four wines before heading back to Barolo on a different route.
