Marco believes in traveling as one of the most powerful experiences resulting in personal grow and expanding our mental and social boundaries. With the ease of access to so many travel options, nowadays what makes the difference is the ability to plan a trip by focusing on quality, slow pace (less is more!), authenticity and interaction with locals.
Former tour manager and tour guide, Marco has led tours in Italy, Iceland and Switzerland for over fourteen years for some of the most successful luxury American travel companies. His broad perspective and understanding of the travel industry combined with his direct exposure to some of the most discerning guests, play a key role in hand-crafting itineraries and laying the groundwork for the overall experience with Meet Piemonte.
Marco’s secret is to think to be a guest on the tour he’s planning, making sure the pace of the tour allows some quiet time to fully immerse into the destination. He is also an advocate of local small food producers and organic farms where he likes to expose his clients to the most authentic traditions of Piedmont.
He is in charge of the selection of local partners (boutique hotels, restaurants, cooking class venues and wineries) helping international clients to enjoy a destination not affected yet by mass-tourism and to set experiences that people would never find on their own.
Best preferred Piedmontese recipe: vitello tonnato (boiled or roasted veal topped with tuna and capers sauce).
