Camera Avena

Location

Profumi is an independent house with three rooms, located in the small community called “Noche”, within the municipality of Vinchio, about 25 minutes from Asti. The house lies along the quiet countryside road which connects the hilltop villages surrounding the Natural Reserve Valsarmassa.

This is an ideal solution for families and groups of friends (six to eight people maximum) who are looking for an independent, cozy and welcoming home away from home, with the comfort of having a private bathroom in each of the three double rooms.

Description of the house

The ground floor features the entrance, the kitchen and one of the three bedrooms. The other two bedrooms are upstairs and all of them feature a queen size bed, a private bathroom with shower and a balcony.

The queen size beds are NOT divisible; however, a single bed can be added in two of the three bedrooms in order to satisfy the request of pairs of friends or relatives and the maximum number of guests can be up to eight people.

All bedrooms as well as the kitchen have a surface of about 15 sq m (161 sq ft). The kitchen is fully-equipped including a dishwasher.

The decoration is simple and rustic, based on the pastel colors of the countryside; bathrooms are enriched with ceramics and the floor has a welcoming and warm look given by the traditional terracotta tiles.

Brick oven, BBQ and outdoor courtyard

The private courtyard with the adjacent portico in the back of the building can be used in summer to dine outside and socialize around the BBQ equipment, brick oven and open-air kitchen corner.

An open-air parking is available for the guests of the house, across the street from the house.

What to do in the area

Valsarmassa is home of protected local flora and fauna and it is the departure point for hikes, horse rides or mountain-bike excursions on one of the many well marked paths of the area. This is a green and wild corner of countryside, in the heart of the UNESCO World Heritage site of Langhe-Roero and Monferrato and within a short drive from Alba and the vineyards of Barolo or the underground wine cellars of Canelli. Nonetheless, this area is well-known as one of the best environment for white truffles which are available from the end of September until January.
